1. Scope of the UniJoin privacy policy
This policy applies to the UniJoin AI website at unijoinbtc.net ("the site", "we", "us"), an educational resource about artificial intelligence. Other services operated under the UniJoin brand, such as the UniJoin bitcoin mixer, are covered by their own separate documents. The company responsible for this site is named on our legal information page.
2. Data UniJoin collects
You can read every page of the site without creating an account or giving us your name. We collect only a small amount of information:
- Technical data sent automatically by your browser: browser type, device category, preferred language and the page you came from;
- Aggregated usage statistics, such as how many people read an article and how long pages take to load;
- Messages you send us voluntarily, for example a correction request, including the email address you write from.
IP addresses are truncated before any statistics are stored, so they cannot be used to identify an individual visitor.
3. How UniJoin uses information
We use this data to keep the site fast and secure, to understand which AI topics readers find most useful and to reply to your messages. We do not build advertising profiles, and we never sell visitor data to anyone.
4. UniJoin, AI tools and your data
Our editors may use AI assistants for tasks such as checking grammar or drafting diagram descriptions. Every published text is reviewed and approved by a person. Messages and data from visitors are never entered into third-party AI tools or used to train machine learning models. The site itself contains no chatbot that records your conversations. Our wider approach is described in the UniJoin principles for safe AI.
5. Cookies and analytics
The site uses only strictly necessary cookies, for instance to remember that you closed a notice. We run privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics hosted on our own infrastructure. There are no advertising cookies, cross-site trackers or social media pixels. You can block cookies in your browser and the site will continue to work.
6. UniJoin retention periods
- Server logs used for security are kept for a maximum of 14 days and then deleted.
- Aggregated statistics contain no personal data and may be kept indefinitely.
- Emails you send are kept for up to 12 months, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
7. Sharing and security
We share data only with infrastructure providers that host and deliver the site, under contracts that forbid any other use, or when the law requires it. All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS, and access to servers is restricted to a small number of team members using strong authentication.
8. Your rights with UniJoin
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold, to object to processing and to receive a copy of your data. To use these rights, contact us through the details on the legal page. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. The site is not directed at children under 16.
9. External links and AI services
Our articles often link to research papers, AI lab documentation and online tools so you can explore a topic further. When you follow such a link, you leave our website and the privacy policy of that website applies instead. Many public AI chat services store the prompts you type and may use them to improve their models. Before trying any tool we mention, read its privacy settings, switch off chat history or training where possible, and never share personal, financial or company data you would not want stored on someone else's servers. Our terms of use explain how our own content may be shared.
10. Changes to the UniJoin policy
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The effective date above always shows the current version, and important changes will be announced on the home page. To learn more about who runs the project, visit About UniJoin AI.
